For those who have seen it: a link to another's editorial

An editorial I agree with, for the most part.

In particular:
"...a new classic."

"It was like Battlestar Galactica without the new-age mysticism, or Joss Whedon at his absolute darkest."

"I doubt that Russell T. Davies can keep his silly, cheesy, schlocky tendencies so firmly in check for another five-episode miniseries."

"You can't raise the stakes again after a story like this one."

For those who haven't seen it: you have 9 days.

Torchwood: Children of Earth was television at its very best. Already it's being called an instant classic, and compared to the Battlestar Galactica miniseries*.

I'm going to try to post a detailed review tomorrow (but goodness there's a lot of material), but right now I'm addressing everyone else who hasn't seen it: If you have cable,
WATCH
THIS
SHOW

BBC America, July 20-24

If you don't have cable, find a friend that does and camp out at his/her house for those 5 days. You will not regret it. You don't need to be familiar with the previous series to understand the story, you don't even need to be interested in sci-fi as a genre. It's just that good.

* that thought was already on the queue for my review
