resurrected sans regeneration?

Apparently they'll be bringing John Simms back as The Master for the final Tennant episodes.

I wonder how they'll explain that, considering this incarnation died and was in fact burned? I'm guessing it's to do with that ring, but had figured that was for regeneration.

Anyway, I hope this time Simms tones down on that mental-patient/clown portrayal of The Master....
