Note: I only list bands that I am very enthusiastic about. While there are loads of artists that have made great contributions, I'm limiting this list to those that I wish to single out as deserving of extra attention.
- Alien # six thirteen: Eclectic Side project of Geoff Pinckney of The Nine.
- The Azoic: Very catchy act on Nilaihah Records. Their 2004 album Illuminate is one of the best of the year!
- Darker Days Tomorrow: Side project of the now split-up band Emergence. Still a great sound!
- Dust of Basement: Awesome German group with a diverse and ever-changing sound.
- Echo Image: Another enegetic and colorful group. Produced by Stephan Groth of Apoptygma Berzerk.
- Emergence: Great EBM mixed with guitar. Emergence hails from Denver, CO.
- New Concept: Great synthpop with a real dreamy-retro feel.
- Nine, The: Great UK band signed to A Different Drum.
- Ravenous: From the mind that brought you Funker Vogt and Fictional, Ravenous has a deeper yet very catchy sound.
- Richter: Fresh & complex music with good energy, debuted in July 2005.
